Launched in 2003 by the shnit FOUNDATION in Bern, Switzerland, the festival has become one of the largest international cultural events celebrating short films.

shnit has five main award categories with a $20,000 cash prize offered to each winning film. The festival’s prestigious FLAMING FAUN Award will be presented to the winners at this year’s shnit FINALE event in New York.
