Adele is going to outsell Taylor Swift to make chart album history

Adele’s new album has sold over 900,000 copies on the iTunes Store in 24 hours and is on course to outpace Taylor Swift's '1989'

'25' is expected to outpace the competition for the last 15 years and could set a precedent for Nielsen-era chart records, which so far hasn’t been done since NYSNC sold 2.42 million copies of ‘No Strings Attached’ back in 2000.

Album sales were first recorded by Nielsen SoundScan in 1991, and Adele’s third album is predicted to exceed the 2000 record selling more than 2.5 million copies of '25’ in the first 7 days.

With Taylor Swift dominating headlines and receiving a majority of the press coverage this part year for her hugely successful ‘1989’ album, Adele’s '25' is breaking new ground in the digital era and going beyond expectation.
