“Zootopia” has reached another milestone at the US box office racking up over $337m domestically to reach the top 10 most successful animation films of all time.
Disney’s animated adventure sailed past the likes of “Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets” and “The Lion King” to cross $1 billion at the international box office. Overall, the film is now the 10th most successful animation release at the US box office. “Toy Story 3” and “Frozen” have earned more at US theaters.
Thanks to rave reviews and strong word-of-mouth, "Zootopia"
The film’s cast of voice-overs includes Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Jenny Slate, Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman and Octavia Spencer. It was directed by Byron Howard and Richard Moore, with an estimated budget of $150m.
"Zootopia" tells the story of a rookie bunny cop and a con artist fox who have to team up to uncover a conspiracy.
