Zoolander 2 boycott petition asks Paramount to stop mocking LGBT community

A petition set up by Sarah Rose in response to Paramount's “Zoolander 2” is asking the studio to stop mocking individuals in the LGBT community.

Over 7000 people have already signed the petition stating that Benedict Cumberbatch’s androgynous character in the trailer is a, “mockery of androgyne/trans/non-binary individuals.”

Launched on Care2 by Sarah Rose, it addresses Paramount Pictures and its main cast including Ben Stiller and Benedict Cumberbatch stating that it, “is not okay,” for them to be mocking these individuals in the movie.

The trailer, released earlier this week became a web sensation, revealing a ridiculous montage of antics that introduce the sequel to the much loved, although controversial original.
