Where to find auditions

If you are an actor and you want to find paid and non-paid opportunities, look no further. Below is a list of excellent websites with casting categories including film, TV, Commercials, background artists, and more.

(Please note that these are all free to use or sign up websites. We will not advertise paying subscription services at this time)

Global

http://www.mandy.com

Mandy is a great resource for finding casting notices from independent feature films to big budget commercials. Jobs are uploaded regularly and the interface is easy and free to use.

http://www.kijiji.com

Ebay's listing service, that has all kinds of jobs including an online community, buying, selling and more. Paying auditions and film jobs are also popular listings.

http://www.olx.com

A free listing site where you can get paid work in all areas including film/tv. Great interface, focusing on cities worldwide.

http://www.craigslist.com

Craiglist is a listing service, which is free to browse. There are daily updates for castings of all kinds around the world in the Film/TV and creative/gigs sections.

Main international cities for castings include Paris, London, Mumbai, New York, LA, Miama, Atlanta.

UK only

UKscreen is a great forum for finding opportunities in film and TV. They also have a discussion category for films and much more. You browse forums for free and find easily contact information

Gumtree is an excellent site with adverts nationwide. There are many casting announcements particularly in London where there is high demand for background artists and actors for music videos/commercials.

Talentcircle is a free to browse listing service with a variety of ads across the UK and covers casting as well as other areas. You will find mainly auditions on indie features/short films rather than larger productions.

France only

Castprod has a good variety of acting work particularly including fashion, hosting, extras, modeling, and TV shows. These tend to be higher-paid than regular castings

01casting has recently been revamped and has a great section that allows you to showcase your portfolio and apply for jobs. The sign up is free and you can apply for acting and modeling work.

Artotal is a fairly low tech but free to use listing site. Advertisements are more geared to low/no budget gigs but you can find interesting collaborations.

http://www.castingdujour.com

Castingdujour is mainly a premium site, but it includes free postings that are older than a few days. These tend to be for institutional films, extra castings and commercials.
