A video has emerged of a bare-knuckle boxing match taking place in Ireland on a public street to the amusement (and shock) of people going shopping. (video below)
The film 'Snatch', starring Brad Pitt, Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones highlights the traditional 'Pikey' and many over-the-top characters, but what is interesting is that Brad Pitt's character (Mickey), who is an Irish Traveller, and boxing pro, is almost brought back to life in this amateur footage.
What's even more peculiar is that this video was filmed by a young boy, who constantly shouts during the fight, cheering them on as if he was one of the original cast that featured in the film. It only goes to show that Guy Richie did a good job of researching his characters before he shot 'Snatch'.
While the public display of violent behaviour shouldn't be encouraged or tolerated, this particular video has reaffirmed how a film that was shot 14 years ago is still relevant today, culturally.
The video is believed to have been shot in late October and takes place in Sligo Town.
