It’s been 5 years since Tobey Maguire made his last appearance as our favourite hero, but now ‘The Amazing Spider-man’ is about to take the franchise on a new path.
Directed by Marc Webb and starring British actor Andrew Garfield as Spider-man, ‘The Amazing Spider-man’ promises audiences a new beginning. Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen and Sally Field also feature in the 4th Spider-man movie.
The film centres around Peter Parker’s discovery of a vital clue that sheds light on why his parents dissappeared in his youth. He begins to take the journey to unravel the truth, and finds himself facing his father’s former partner, Dr. Curt Connors. Casting for ‘The Amazing Spider-man’ was not an easy task, and finding the right actor to play Spider-man and Peter Parker was equally challenging for the producers. Tobey Maguire was an ideal casting for the last 3 movies because audiences could relate to his vunerability in his quest to become someone greater, and stronger. With all the conflicts that families and friends face in life, Spider-man has always been a symbol of personal triumph over immense challenges.
Let’s see how Andrew Garfield manages to interpret this highly complex character, and whether the Spider-man franchise can make a big comeback.
