Sony hack was so bad Sylvester Stallone feels its pain

The cyber hack that brought Sony Pictures to its knees is so bad that even top Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone are caught up in the mess.

With now over 47,000 social security numbers leaked online, stars like Sylvester Stallone and Judd Apatow are amongst the victims of the massive breach, thought to be the worst ever digital attack on a corporation.

After forking out $15 million of free gear to customers a few years ago following a global hack, Sony is again facing potential lawsuits from people who's data has been breached and shared online.

It is estimated that over 100 terabytes of data has been obtained and leaked online. Publishers have been sent downloads to files and have been analysing the data which includes passwords, addresses, salary information and details of internal communiqués.

According to a report in Buzzfeed, Sony may have not used basic encryption technology and could face class action lawsuits from employees.

The disaster continues, but Sony is not alone in facing the cyber threat and companies are now ramping up their security in wake of this hack.
