Actress Sharon Stone is the latest public figure to back Elton John's call for people to boycott Dolce and Gabbana.
Host of the annual AMFAR charity event and a prolific activist, Stone's endorsement of Elton John's campaign has added more pressure on the italian fashion designers to backtrack on their comments.
The designers had participated in an interview in Italy for Panorama Magazine where they condemned fertility treatment, and criticised gay adoptions.
"I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteri (for) rent, semen chosen from a catalogue." - Dolce Gabbana.
Elton John wrote a scathing response on Instagram that has received over 15k likes:
"How dare you refer to my beautiful children as "synthetic". And shame on you for wagging your judgemental little fingers at IVF - a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfil their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again."
Other celebs have reached out to their fans and are publicly backing him including Ricky Martin, Matt Lucas and Victoria Beckham.
