Rocky Balboa, or Rocky 6 was highly praised by Stallone fans decades after the original hit the theatres but can Rambo 5 deliver an end to another franchise in a good way?
The Rambo movies have been a vital part of the Stallone brand for fans, and talk of a 5th and perhaps final outing looks more likely. Sean Hood, who wrote ‘Conan The Barbarian’ has completed a draft of Rambo 5 entitled ‘Rambo : Last Stand’.
Some may find the title quite predictable, others, perhaps funny. Stallone is after all close to his mid 60s and seeing an ex-soldier turn to battle for 5th time almost invites a bit of comedy to the table.
Whether Sylvester Stallone will be part of Rambo 5 is still an unknown but it’s highly unlikely that a studio would go ahead with the production without him. He is after all, the lifeblood of the franchise, and even in his 60s, the actor still packs an onscreen presence that rival Arnold Schwarzenegger will have to train hard to match up to in his comeback film.
Now the question is, will Arnie make a cameo in Rambo 5 opposite Stallone?
