Oprah in tears during Barbara Walters interview

NEW YORK, USA - TV show host Oprah Winfrey broke down and cried in her latest interview with Barbara Walters, to be released Thursday.

After facing the question about her relationship with close friend Gayle King, Oprah was in tears because of her frustration and sadness over how the media has concluded that she may be 'gay' and has tried to conceal it for decades.

Oprah - "She is the mother I never had. She is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person. I don't know a better person."

Barbara - "why is it making you cry?"

Oprah "shoot, i wasn't gonna cry here. Its making me cry here because I'm thinking about how much I probably have never told her that!"

She continues to cry. When further asked about the gay rumours

Oprah 'I have said we are not gay enough times. Im not lesbian, I'm not even kinda lesbian and the reason why it irritates me is because it means somebody must think I'm lying. Why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life."

Barbara Walters in regards to the interview felt that Oprah was 'scared to death' about the launch of her new OWN network, which is why the host had the breakdown. Oprah will launch her new TV network in January and faces huge pressure for the launch which has pushed the iconic show host to the edge as the time draws nearer for the big day.
