Joel Silver's biggest hits include 'The Matrix', 'Die Hard' and 'Lethal Weapon', but now it seems the producer wants to turn cartoons into action blockbusters.

The super producer has had his eye on 'Ben 10', a hit animated series on the Cartoon Network, which stars Ben Tennyson, a kid who discovers a magical 'watch' that gives him alien powers.

Having changed movie technology with the narrative of The Matrix, and brought Bruce Willis to the action limelight in 'Die Hard', Silver has been behind some of Hollywood's biggest, and most spectacular action flicks.

An adaptation from cartoon to action could be another winning formula, particularly as there is a potential franchise to be explored.

Does this mean we should expect sometime in the near future Ben 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14?
