A man has been arrested 14 years after failing to return a rented VHS of “Freddy Got Fingered.”

Starring Tom Green, Rip Torn and Marisa Coughlan, “Freddy Got Fingered” was released in theatres in April 2001 and won 5 Razzie Awards including Worst Actor (Tom Green), Worst Screen Couple, Worst Director, Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay.

James Meyers from North Carolina was pulled over due to a broken brake light and officers discovered there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failing to return the VHS in 2002. The man was on his way to drop off his daughter at school when he was taken into custody according to CNN. The rental store where he got the copy of the film has been closed for several years.

Tom Green was made aware of the story and couldn’t believe it himself.

Meyers will face a magistrate and may incur a fine with a court date set for April 27th. The last film to be released on the VHS format was “A History of Violence” back in 2006.
