Letter to the Film Industry Network

To all Film Industry Network readers,

I would like to share a big project with you that will affect the whole Network. Since February we have been working on a new website to transform our network into something that can become a great platform for people in the film industry. We haven't been updating our news content regularly in the past 2 months due to this solid development but with the help of several journalists this will be set in motion very soon.

When I launched the network in November 2009, I did so with no funding, or outside help except the support of my family, which was all I needed to get me started. I was fortunate in mid 2010 to collaborate with Bloginity Founder Daniel Haim, who guided me, and helped me learn about web design and the publishing industry. It is partly thanks to him that I am able to develop such a platform and will do so thinking about everything that he has taught me. I recommend you reach out to him if you have similar aspirations to develop your businesses.

We will be launching a brand new Film Industry Network at the end of this month, and with it, our mission will be to give young talent a voice, and to promote the best films from around the world. There's a lot to do, and many stories to tell but I want to thank those of you who have helped me make this come to light from our winning team in Cannes to our journalists here in Paris. It's been a long road, but now it's time to start a new chapter. I hope you will join me and share your ideas, your stories and your vision with our community for now and the future.

It's the start of a new era for the film industry!

What does this mean for you?

- Film Industry Network will be getting a design upgrade, and new capabilities.
- More unique content, interviews, how to guides and recommended gadgets
- A new events listings section
- All our logos worldwide will change (we will keep a reference to our older logos)
- More interactive discussion
- Film Industry Network will highlight not just American talent, but also focus on British and French talent in Europe.
- We will be launching regional Film Industry Network websites in both the UK and France simultaneously.
- FIN will launch an online film competition to find the best short films and music videos from around the world.
- Much much more to come.

So sit back, relax, and we will announce the official launch date soon! Thanks for you continued support!

Warm regards,

Iain Alexander
