Rihanna and Jim Parsons will play leading roles in DreamWorks Animations 'Happy Smekday!' slated for a 2014 release.
The film, which is based on Adam Rex's 'The True Meaning of Smekday' will be directed by Tim Johnson and Gregg Taylor will oversee the development of the film through to completion.
Rihanna made her successful debut in Battleship earlier this year and is likely to feature in future Hollywood movies.
DreamWorks Animations also announced today that Matt Ember and Tom J. Astle will co-write the script. DreamWorks Animation Chief Creative Officer, Bill Damaschke also weighed in on the casting choice for the movie:
"Adam's hilarious book is the perfect recipe for a compelling animated feature and we are ecstatic that Jim Parsons and Rihanna will contribute their immense talents to the production."
