John Malkovich has decided to delve into the fashion industry with a new clothing line called Technobohemian.
Following in the footsteps of Beyoncé, Victoria Beckham and Justin Timberlake, Malkovich is adding fashion to his own personal brand. The actor, who is a fan of 'old Europe' wanted to create a new Bohemian style that is non-traditional. Technobohemian apparel will be made from denim, imported from Japan, and Italian fabrics that will create a new 'cultivated casual' look. This will include woven ties, cravats and tailored Jackets.
John Malkovich:
"I thought it was necessary to update the figure of the bohemian but not in the traditional way. It was necessary to make it cosmopolitan, present and fully engaged in the technological world we live in today...I like to experience the transformation even in the clothes we design, every transformation is basically a confirmation that we are constantly being born."
Malkovich admits to having a cultivated interest in fashion and designs all the clothing himself, from sketches to specific fabric choices, and chooses them meticulously in order to deliver the right feel.
