Obama fundraiser attracts top Hollywood stars
Hollywood actors, directors and producers are gathering their forces for another Obama fundraiser on Friday with big names committing at least $2,500 per head according to THR.
Stars attending the fundraiser include Zach Braff, David Fincher, Jennifer Grey, Clark Gregg and Jared Leto. Over 40 Hollywood stars are set to attend and will co-host the evening to raise much needed dollars for Obama’s re-election campaign.
The event, which is being held to target young voters, will once again put Obama’s November 2012 ambitions on the Hollywood agenda. This not the first Hollywood fundraiser we have seen this year, but with stiff competition from a resurgent Republican campaign, the re-election of America’s current sitting President is far from a guaranteed victory. We are likely to see more highly publicized fundraisers in the near future attracting Obama’s strongest liberal supporters in Hollywood. These are very powerful votes for the President as the media will have a huge influence over this year’s election.
Single tickets for the Gen44 outreach event will cost at least $500 and will take place at the Soho House in West Hollywood.
