Halle Berry to shoot in Scotland after Brad Pitt

Halle Berry is the latest Hollywood star set to shoot in Glasgow, Scotland for her latest movie outing in ‘Cloud Atlas’.

Estimated at around $80 million, the Warner Bros production will shoot scenes in Glasgow and Edinburgh, including areas near the Strathclyde University. The film is based on David Mitchell’s time travel novel.
With an all star cast including Tom Hanks and Natalie Portman, it’s easy to see why people are already getting excited about another big Hollywood production in the UK. What’s happened to the American film industry and why have producers chosen Glasgow to double up as San Francisco?

With World War Z turning Glasgow into a battlefield, the British film industry has been given a tremendous boost, which also benefits the tourism industry.

Cloud Atlas is currently in pre-production and will be directed by Andy and Lana Wachowski (The Matrix) along with Tom Tykwer.
