Going Viral: Darth Trump Star Wars parody

Star-Wars-Darth-Trump-Parody
Donald Trump’s latest soundbites and speeches have been edited into Star Wars to create a new kind of evil: Darth Trump.

Following on from Trump’s open letter that Muslims should be barred from entering the US, it didn’t take too long for the internet to respond in kind with some humor. Auralnauts created a remixed version with timely editing to include Trump’s most controversial statements at rallies and meetings as Darth Trump.

The creators also managed to give Trump’s voice some of that classic Darth Vader breath to give it that extra legitimacy. Throughout the parody, Darth Trump makes some over-the-top statements in response to the film’s characters, edited from previous speeches and remixed to create the darkest dialogue possible.

Donald Trump quotes from the parody

“I hit somebody in the face with a padlock.”
“I love war in a certain way.”
“…Then I tried to stab a friend of mine, but now that’s changed.”
“You don’t have to be a total genius to figure this out, even though I”m a genius ok?”

With just over a week to go before the launch of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hype for the film has led to pre-sale box office records. Star Wars toys and merchandise have also been in high demand ahead of the Christmas period and analysts expect "Star Wars 7" to gross over $1 billion at the US Box Office alone.

This isn't the first time Star Wars has been parodied. The music video of singer Gotye's 'Somebody I used to Know' was turned into a Star Wars spoof and became a global phenomenon.
