Global James Bond Day announced

50th Anniversary of Bond events

It's been 50 years since 'Dr No' came to cinemas in the fall of 1962. At the height of the Cold War, Bond emerged as a new hero; the suave and sophisticated British secret agent with a thirst for action and gorgeous women.

EON Productions, Sony Pictures Entertainment, 20th Century Fox and MGM Studios have announced special events that will take place worldwide on October 5th 2012.

In addition, 'Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007' will be revealed in different territories. The feature length documentary focuses on the aspirations of the Bond producers following the path of Albert R. Broccoli, Harry Saltzman and the adaptation of Ian Fleming's novels since 1962.

Events include a global auction organized by Christies, a film retrospective held at the New York Museum of Modern Art and a special music night hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Further details of events will be revealed in the coming weeks via 007.com
