31-year old actor Cory Monteith who played Finn Hudson was found dead in his hotel room on Saturday.
The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear, but he reportedly came back to his hotel room in Vancouver after a night out with friends but failed to check out in time. Staff at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel alerted that Vancouver police, who have not yet established the cause of his death. An autopsy is due to be carried out on Monday according to CNN.
Cory Monteith has had history of substance abuse, having spent some time in rehab earlier in the year however no foul play is suspected in his tragic death.
With his huge online fan base on Twitter and Facebook, Monteith inspired young audiences with his onscreen talents in 'Glee' and garnered millions of followers.
What may be most striking to the fans are his final words on Twitter that highlight the lighter side of the news : a movie about sharks in tornadoes.
