'Ellston Bay' Post-production team selected

Fact Not Fiction Films has confirmed the key post-production team members for the short film entitled ‘Ellston Bay’, directed by Nicholas Eriksson.

Production Manager and Assistant Producer, Beth Moran, stated:

“We have a great team to move the film forward. Producer, Tristan Loraine, will act as Post Production Supervisor and the creative team will comprise of: Editor – Jim Page; Sound Designer – Mauricio d'Orey; Composer – Moritz Schmittat and Colourist – Toby Tomkins. We are definitely in safe hands.”

Moritz Schmittat is a German, London-based film composer and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music. He has won two international composition awards and has worked on most of Fact Not Fiction Films productions since 2006, including ‘A Dark Reflection’ and ‘Shady Lady’. Other recent features include ‘The Scopia Effect’ (dir. Chris Butler), ‘Marry Me’ (dir. Kadir Balci) and ‘Fractured’ (dir. Jamie Patterson).

Composer Moritz Schmittat stated:

“I never thought I would actually work on a film in the VistaVision format. It’s the biggest 35mm format and the most exciting cinematic experience. 'Ellston Bay' is such an ambitious project that wouldn’t be possible without the generous support by Kodak.”

Sound Designer Mauricio d'Orey brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the project including an MA in Sound Post-Production from the National Film and Television School (NFTS).

Sound Designer Mauricio d'Orey stated:

"‘Ellston Bay’ is one of those projects you simply can't refuse working on. A film with so much ambition and potential and an incredible cast and crew. I'm just honoured to be a part of it."

Editor, Jim Page is an experienced TV and Film Editor, having cut documentaries and features for the BBC, C4 and others. His work has been nominated at major festivals worldwide, including the prestigious Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or award.

Editor, Jim Page commented:

"I found the world created in the script beguiling, and this, along with Nick's enthusiasm and keenness to collaborate, led me to feel I could bring something to the project, and hopefully we can all create something special together."

Toby Tomkins is a renowned features and commercials colourist based in East London. His award-winning work includes Oscar winning films and D&AD award winning commercials. Having worked with Nick Eriksson for over 7 years, their relationship and work is a fruit of labour and love.

He is delighted to be working with Nick again on his first VistaVision acquired film and looks forward to seeing what the medium format film negative can deliver in the final grade.
