Total Recall, which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone achieved great success when it was originally released in 1990. Sharon Stone, who played Schwarzenegger’s wife, was at the height of her career, and the film was high action, but also delved into new territory with special effects and lavish sets.
The remake of Totall Recall, set to shoot in May 2011 in Toronto comes over 20 years when 3D is becoming the next generation format for showcasing big action. However Total Recall won’t be getting a 3D treatment
The new film is not set in space, nor will it including Arnold Schwarzenegger, who of course, would not likely do a remake of a classic film. While Colin Farrell reprising the role of , fans of the film may find it frustrating to see yet another remake, in the style of Predators, but without their favourite actor.

It’s a real world, a real future world, where the cities have just gotten so overcrowded that the cities are just built up, up, up, up. It’s just everything I see on the movie, every pre-vis I see on the movie, every conceptual drawing on this movie that I see just makes me more and more excited. We’re playing it like a real world, but there s all these technological advancements to the real world, and it s just really, it s cool. It’s an awesome movie. I’m dying as a fan of movies, more than anything, it’s a movie that I’m just dying to see.- Collider
