Coldplay released this week their new music video for 'Every Teardrop is A Waterfall' using stop-motion.
The video features Chris Martin walking through an abandoned factory with illustrations that begin to appear and follow him through into a basement with his band.
The colorful paint drops and stylized drawings, blended in with a classic rock band setting evolves into a night time fluorescent gig. It feels as if an artist took a bucket of paint and drew the narrative of the story, which is very well conceived, and gives class to Coldplay's latest single.
There is also an 'homage' to the White Stripes with band members disappearing in a cut / flip-book style scene towards the end of the music video.
