Actor Christian Bale has visited survivors of the horrific Batman shootings along with his wife Sibi Blazic at a makeshift memorial.
The tragedy made global headlines when 24 year old James Holmes entered a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people, injuring 50 others. It was a horrific crime that shocked America, and forced Warner Bros studios to cancel world premieres, and pull the plug on any box office reporting for the movie in its first weekend.
Christian Bale thanked the medical personnel and staff who had responded to the 'mass casualty incident' the night of the attack. It was a somber occasion as Bale laid flowers in honor of the victims.
He later released a written statement:
"I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them."
