Winning actor Charlie Sheen who recently quit Twitter in defiance of his own success has just donated $250,000 to United Service Organizations Inc.
The organization provides live entertainment for troops around the world at several facilities and is not part of the U.S Government. In addition to the $250k committed, The USO will also receive further profit percentages of Sheen's new FX TV series totaling at least $1 million.
The donation has given an epic boost to the USO's mission which is highly respected as U.S troops are constantly facing enormous challenges in their personal lives, and after they have served.
In response to the praise Sheen received from the USO, he said:
"It's an honour for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us….They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on 'Anger Management' can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families."
USO, a private non-profit organization helps troops that have suffered from post traumatic stress and gives American servicemen and women life-changing experiences.
