Samsung's Launching People challenge has received more than 500 video entries since it announced its contest, giving the UK's creative talent a chance to have their projects backed by top mentors with funding and support.
The Launching People initiative, still open for entries until March 6th is asking filmmakers, photographers, chefs and musicians to pitch their ideas in a 2-minute video for the chance of funding, prizes and a celebrity mentor to guide them as they turn their ideas into reality.
English actor and producer Idris Elba, musician Paloma Faith, Gizzi Erskine and fashion photographer Rankin will work with selected winners to make the chosen projects.
Samsung released a trailer for the contest at the beginning of the month which garnered over 400,000 views, encouraging people to follow their dreams and share their ideas.
In the video, each of the judges speak about what they are looking for and what the contest means to them.
