British short filmmakers proceed to final 10 in Oscar race

Oscars announce 10 Live action shorts

The Oscars have announced the 10 Live Action short films set to go to the next round of voting that will determine the official nominees at next year's Academy Awards.

Out of a total selection of 120 films qualified for next year's race, the top 10 have been narrowed down by the Short films and Feature Animation Branch Reviewing Committee.

Among the 10 short films announced, British film company Honlodge Productions is one of the last few up for the official nomination for Best LIve Action Short.

Director Mark Gil and Baldwin Li (Producer) will find out if they have made it to the last round on the 16th January next year.

'The Voorman Problem', starring Martin Freeman and Tom Hollander was also nominated for a BAFTA earlier this year.
