Filmmakers will be delighted to hear that Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have once again teamed up with HBO to launch a new ‘Project Greenlight’ aimed at finding the next best first-time director.
This year’s Project Greenlight comes 13 years after the first series was produced and will start accepting submissions from filmmakers next month.
Affleck and Damon feature in this first teaser (below) about the new contest and explain how filmmakers can get involved. Project Greenlight will help an aspiring film director produce his/her film from pre-production to completion and choose the best candidate later this year.
In order to get prepared for the contest, filmmakers are being asked to create 3-minute video pitches and should have little to no movie credits, as the aim is to find an upcoming director who has yet to be discovered.
Check out the video below for more info, and be sure to check back with us later next month for more info on this challenge
