Assassins Creed Film in production

It has now been confirmed that Assassins Creed: The Film is well underway and will star with Michael Fassbender. According to the BBC, the film, which is based on the successful video game by the same name, is being “fast-tracked” and the screenplay is in motion as we speak.

Further in their discussion with the BBC, Ubisoft Motion Pictures said they are producing a film of high-quality which will be in keeping with what fans of the video game would expect. They are not yet divulging information as to the time in history within which the storyline will occur, so we will have to wait anxiously for that announcement.

Michael Fassbender, also known for his role in X-men, is cast in the movie.

Ubisoft Motion Pictures is partnering with New Regency on the film, a decision to which New Regency responded by saying, “we wanted to do everything we could to secure the rights toAssassin’s Creed, which Ubisoft has maintained with such care and quality over the years. Having just finished working with Michael on Steve McQueen’s 12 Years A Slave (with [Brad Pitt’s production company] Plan B) made the partnership even more irresistible.”

Assassin’s Creed is due to be released in 3D!!!!

We will keep you updated with the developments.
