Ann curry has officially announced that she will no longer co-host the 'Today Show'.
During Thursday's show Curry made the public announcement with her costars sitting beside her. It was an emotional and teary goodbye but the TV host said that she would remain part of the Today Show family.
Curry's exit comes after weeks of news stories regarding her planned departure from the show and speculation surrounding the reasons for her departure. TV ratings for the Today Show have not recovered since Meredith Vieira's resignation over 12 months ago, and the show has struggled to mount a comeback against its rivals.
Although Curry will no longer be a presence on the 'Today Show', she will likely remain a prominent NBC figure as she continues to report global news stories. It is not yet confirmed Who will be replacing her to co-host the show.
