Adam Sandler's latest film production has taken a beating from its own cast as controversial script elements led to actors walking off the set in disgust.

"The Ridiculous 6," a movie parody featuring Native American actors caused deep offense to several cast members which producers allegedly brushed off. A Navajo actress frustrated by the attitude and depiction of Native Americans said that, "We are still just Hollywood Indians."

The Netflix produced comedy is meant to mock western movies and Native American stereotypes but in doing so has, "misrepresented Apache culture," according to The Indian Country Network.

One of the scenes involves an actress playing an Apache woman smoking a peace pipe and urinating.

David Hill, a member of the American Indian Movement was also highly critical of the film production and the way it portrays people in the script:

"We understand this is a comedy, we understand this is humor, but we won’t tolerate disrespect. I told the director if he had talked to a native woman the way they were talked to in this movie—I said I would knock his ass out.”

At least 12 actors walked off the set including the Native Cultural Advisor.

"The Ridiculous 6" is directed by Frank Coraci and stars Adam Sandler, Taylor Lautner, Will Forte, Whitney Cummings, Terry Crews, John Turturro and Nick Nolte. The script is also written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy.
