Producers of the unauthorized porn remake of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' are being sued by Universal Studios in a move that is already without a doubt, a major victory.
Firstly, thanks to this porn film, Universal Studios have now attained international media coverage for their own production of 'Fifty Shades of Grey', winning them a multi-million dollar marketing campaign practically for free. In addition to this, they haven't even begun to reap the rewards from the filmmakers who ripped off El James' best-selling trilogy, and there are more 'illegal productions' coming.
I really have to hand it to Universal Studios on this one. 5 out of 5. Whoever decided to announce this deserves a raise, and a pat on the back. Whether the lawsuit even generates a penny is irrelevant at this point because the return on 'investment' into this case has already been met 10 fold.
