2011 Women's Image Network nominates Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez Win AwardsSANTA MONICA, USA - The WIN Awards has nominated 18 year old singer and actress Selena Gomez among other stars including Jennifer Aniston.

The annual Award ceremony seeks to foster positive public opinion on the value of women committed to promote gender parity, creativity and leadership. Men are also included in the nomination category.

The nominees include film producers, TV and movie actresses, documentary, comedy and feature films.

Selena Gomez is best known for her role of Alex Russo in Disney's Emmy winning Wizards of Waverly Place TV series. She has also a successful career in music, after signing to Hollywood records in 2009 and releasing several hits including 'Round and Round' where she plays a femme fatale being chased by enemy spies in a James Bond style music video.

2011's Win Awards ceremony takes place on January 18th in Santa Monica.

The WIN Awards has taken place annually since its launch in 1993 by actress Phyllis Stuart, and continues to promote people in the entertainment industry that create 'dimensional female media portrayals in film and television' aided by studio and network TV.
