Filmmaker Rob Bliss has created a video exposing the hidden abuse women face on the streets of New York to raise awareness of harassment. (video below)
Produced for the Hollaback! advocacy group, the video follows a young woman (played by actress Shoshana B. Roberts) as she walks down different streets in New York.
With the help of a hidden camera the montage captures over 100 separate incidents where Roberts is harassed by random people in the street. In some cases, men follow her for a number of minutes as she walks, and puts a brave face for the camera.
The video has been seen as a wake-up call and has already been viewed close to 5 million times on Youtube since it was uploaded on October 28th. Have you or someone you know experienced this kind of attention?
